Kakadu Plum Terminal ferdinandianaz
Terminal ferdinandiana, more commonly known as the gibing or kakadu plum is a flowering plant native to Australia. The fruit has a long tradition of being used as a health aid for Aboriginal people. The bark of the tree was used to treat skin irritations such as infections, wounds, and sores.
Kakadu plums rank among the highest natural known source of vitamin C with recorded concentrations of approximately 2300–3150 mg/100 g compared with 50 mg/100 g for oranges. In addition to brightening and protecting skin, this high concentration of vitamin C also helps to firm skin, repair damage from acne and UV light.
